I think the reason he is so busy is because he is good at what he does. Only Viking repair company that I know of in the area. Told us about a recall that the previous THREE companies never once mentioned.
Wow... we were connected to Dan via our Home Warranty. He did some work on our KitchenAid dishwasher about a year and a half ago. He had many excuses for why he couldn't diagnose it right and it took three attempts. IT needed a new control panel... he ordered the wrong one (we have a beige dishwasher, he ordered a white panel) but frankly I just didn't want to do deal with it any longer. Two months ago our fridge was on the fritz and our dishwasher also needed some replacement brackets. I called our home warranty and Dan's "Superior" Service was assigned to me. After three weeks of not hearing anything I called them and we set up something. I was out of town and so my husband was there to explain the situation. It went just fine (although Dan was grumbling that he didn't make any money on these types of service) and they said the parts were on order. A month later and I hadn't heard anything so I called them and discovered that they hadn't ordered the parts. The office manager was apologetic and said something about staff turnover. So then she ordered them and called me a day or two later and said that she had them in her hand! Great! So we scheduled for Saturday between 10-11AM. I tried calling his cell and the office number and left messages but didn't get any feedback. At 1:30PM I got a call from Dan saying he was 15m out. I said, "Unfortunately I can't be there for 45 minutes - can we do it then?" (because I was visiting my dying friend). He said, "I'll have to reschedule but I'll keep your work order in front of me to see where we can fit you in. Please call the office on Monday and we can reschedule something. We tried to. No answer and the voicemail box was full. So I called his cell phone and explained the situation and asked that he come out. He said maybe this next weekend. I reminded him that it had been two months already and a month of that was due to their error. He said he'd call the office and see what could be done. The office or Dan called my husband back and he tried to figure out a solution. During that time they said "we don't service KitchenAid any longer" but we will figure out a solution for you. Then... get this... Dan called the home warranty and said something to the effect of my husband threatened him and they won't work with us. My husband is the least violent person ever... so now the process starts all over. Please... stay away. This guy bit off more than he could chew and now is blaming his customers for his lack of planning.
We called them to repair a dishwasher which wasn't that old but not under warranty any longer. The experience from start to finish was great. The person that came to look at the unit was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was able to figure out the problem right away which ended up being something minor. Would definitely call again.
Dan did an excellent job repairing our Viking refrigerator. Saved us a ton of $$$$ with recall information and did an excellent job repairing our unit. He's very professional and polite and a has a wealth of information. We we're beyond pleased!!!
Dan just came out and repaired my Viking refrigerator. I have been trying to get this repaired for months but because we're on an Island, it was tough to find someone. The previous bid I got was $3, 493 to repair. When I called the manufacturer, they told me that price was crazy high and they gave me Dan's Superior info as an authorized dealer. Dan charged me less than half the previous bid, and clearly knew what he was doing. I will definitely call Dan again and refer him to anyone with Viking appliances.
They were knowledgeable, helpful, and quick. They ordered the necessary parts and fixed my thermidor stove vent well - tested it numerous times and showed patience and courtesy.
I just had yet another great experience with Dans. They came out so quickly to tend to my dead Viking fridge and the bossman himself showed up. He called in advance to ask questions about the symptoms and brought the parts necessary to fix it on the spot rather and making two trips. Highly recommended.
